n “Run,” a spot that ran on the 2009 Super Bowl and appeared in the 2009 NFL Pro Bowl game, production company Motion Theory, music and sound design shop Bongo Post & Music and agency Mering Carson team up to show a year in the life of an NFL star. The spot follows Oakland Raiders running back Darren McFadden as we see him running through the scouting combine, the player draft, training camp, and practice. Directed by Mathew Cullen, the visuals create a stylized world that only moves when McFadden runs – as if the ground itself is a giant treadmill. The spot will appear with two different music tracks, says Bongo’s Executive Producer Bob Smith. For its Super Bowl appearance, the NFL Network licensed a version of a U2 hit, which was specially edited by Bongo for the spot. For its other media appearances, “Run” will be accompanied by Bongo’s track, which will appear on the Pro Bowl telecast as well as on NFL.com, the NFL Network and on mobile applications. Credits include agency CDs Greg Carson and Dave Mering, Executive Producer Liz Ross and the creative team of Lucho Ortega, Dennis Milllete, Scott Conway and Jeffrey Butterworth. For Motion Theory, the spot was shot by DP Claudio Miranda, executive produced by Javier Jiminez and produced by Bernard Rahill. VFX supervisor was Bryan Godwin. Doron Dor at String edited. Final audio mix was performed at Lime in Santa Monica. For Bongo, which is based in Sacramento, Bob Smith and Ryan Sibitz performed sound design, with Debbie McMahon handling music post production.
